There are millions of dogs and cats (and other animals) in this country who need homes. If you are looking for a pet, consider adopting one. Visit your local shelter, call your local animal control officer, look for notices on bulletin boards and in the local paper.  Because our animal shelter is not located where people can go to see the animals there, and is so small that animals can only be kept a short time, we are encouraging people to provide temporary foster homes for adoptable animals until permanent homes can be found for them.
